Ohio LSW and MFT Supervision

I am an experienced Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory designation (LISW-S) and have a passion for providing clinical and training supervision. Since 2010, I have had the privilege of supervising many LSWs as they have worked toward their independent licensure. I enjoy collaborating with developing professionals to encourage them to step beyond their comfort zones in order to hone their clinical skills. I offer both individual and small group supervision, in person and virtually throughout the state of Ohio. I am also available to work with MFTs working toward their IMFT licensure. Please reach out to see if we are a good match for your supervisory needs.

Per the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board: “To work toward the LISW, you first need to have earned an LSW, as well as a master’s degree in social work from a program accredited by CSWE (Council on Social Work Education). You would then complete 2 years (24 FULL months) of post-LSW, post-MSW supervised social work experience, during which time you complete at least 3000 hours of work in a social work setting, and at least 150 hours of face-to-face training supervision with an LISW-S.” Additionally, per the Board: “Due to the low number of MFTs in Ohio, up to fifty of the required two hundred supervision hours may be earned under the supervision of an Ohio licensed LISW-S or LPCC-S.”
